INTRODUCTION  介绍

The 8.0-magnitude earthquake jolted the southwest of Sichuan Province and neighbouring regions at 2:28PM on May 12, 2008. A few beautiful cities were turned into ruins instantly. The death toll increased to 69,181, those injured approached 374,171 with 18,522 still missing and millions of families had been affected, reported by the State Council Information Office on June 22.  After the May 12 earthquake, the entire zone suffered aftershocks, some resulting in further damages. There was no power or water available for days after the earthquake.  People have found it hard to sustain an adequate living.  Reconstruction efforts will be long-term and require extensive efforts.

2008年5月12日下午2点28分，在祖国大陆的四川南部以及附近地区遭受了千年一遇的8级大地震，顷刻间原本美丽的城市变成了废墟。据民政部报告,截至2008年6月22日12时,四川汶川地震已造成69181人遇难, 374171人受伤,失踪18522人，数百万家庭受到不同程度的影响。自5.12大地震之后受灾地区仍然余震不断,对灾区产生了极其深远的影响,地震之后数天无电无水，灾民的生活十分艰难，灾后重建将会是一个极其漫长和艰难的过程，需要全中国人民上下一致，齐心协力，共同帮助灾区人民渡过这个难关。

WINDMILL WATER TO SICHUAN, pioneered by China Windmill Foundation, raises public awareness of the living conditions of the people in the quake-hit regions, and provides water pumping windmills and new wells to supply clean water.   Donations are to be used for installing wind-powered water pumps and drilling new wells in the selected sites after consultations with the proper local authority and institutions.   Clean water will be provided for drinking, irrigation and to allow life to return to normal. 

《风车送水到四川》，由中国爱心风车基金倡导，希望通过在灾区安装抽水风车以供给灾区人民充足的生活用水，提升公众对在5.12大地震中受灾的四川人民的关注。我们将会咨询相关政府机构及组织，选择急需及适合安装风车的地区，捐款将会被用在这些地区钻取水井以及安装风车，从而满足该地区的饮用、灌溉水的需求，帮助灾区人民尽快恢复正常生活。

HULUN BUIR GRASSLANDS SING / WINDMILL CHARITY CONCERT 2008, organized by China Windmill Foundation, will be held on July 17 THURSDAY, from 7:15PM through 10:00PM.   The proceeds will be via sponsorships, donations and ticket sales. 

“呼伦贝尔草原在歌唱”爱心风车慈善音乐会2008，由中国爱心风车基金组织，演出时间为2008年7月17日星期四晚上7时15分至10时正，本次活动筹集的所有资金均来自于各项赞助、捐款以及售票。

PERFORMING ARTISTS  演出演员

1) HULUN BUIR FANTASY CHOIR 五彩传说儿童合唱团

Formed in 2006 by Mr. Wang Jiyan, a veteran satellite television broadcasting executive, the HULUN BUIR FANTASY CHOIR consists of 37 children, aged 5 to 13, from two Mongolian Tribes and three Minority Tribes.  Two-thirds of the children come from pastoral areas, forests and farming villages in the Hulun Buir Grasslands of Inner-Mongolia.  They use five of their own languages and dialects to sing more than 30 songs, all of which are children’s ballads, dances, games and religious ceremonies passed down by their ancestors through hundreds of years.  Their songs tell the audience how they feel about flowers, animals, rivers, and mountains, and bring the audience closer to the amazing beauty of nature and love of family.  The stage performances feature modern stage technology and brand new musical arrangements.  Since its inception, the children choir has performed in Hailar City, Hohhot City of Inner Mongolia, Shenzhen and Beijing to hundreds of thousands of people, aged 5 to 105, with huge success.

由资深卫星广播电视行政主管王纪言先生于2006年组建成立。五彩传说儿童合唱团由37名儿童组成，年龄都在5到13岁，分别来自来两个内蒙古草原部落和三个少数民族。三分之二的合唱团成员来自呼伦贝尔大草原和内蒙古的森林和农场。他们用他们五种不同的语言和方言演出了30 多首歌曲，所有的都是数百年来传承自他们祖先的民谣、舞蹈、游戏和宗教仪式。歌曲向观众演绎了他们对于花朵、动物、河流以及群山的情感，把观众更近的带到自然的美丽和家庭的爱中。舞台的特点是运用了现代舞台技术以及全新的音乐编排。从最初到现在，儿童合唱团就在内蒙古海拉尔、呼和浩特，深圳以及北京面对几十万人表演，他们的年纪从5到105岁，并且在每次演出中都取得了巨大的成功。

2) ALEX CEVALLOS刘德顺

Alex Cevallos, chief vocalist and leader of the band named Castle Rock & Country Club, formed in 2001.  He will sing “A WINDMILL WATER SONG”, a tribute to the China Windmill Foundation, and “BALLAD OF 37”, a song about the HULUN BUIR FANTASY CHOIR, to welcome the first public performance of the choir in Hong Kong.

刘德顺，成立于2001年Castle Rock & Country Club乐队的主唱和灵魂人物。他将演出献给中国爱心风车基金的“爱心风车之歌”，以及“37小调”，一首关于五彩传说儿童合唱团的英文歌，用来欢迎合唱团来香港的第一次演出。
